What You Need To Do |
| 1. Decide what you want to exhibit for sale and prepare your work |
| Art
● You can exhibit up to 10 pieces of art work to be hung. These should be framed or on canvas.
● You can also choose to bring ‘portfolio’ pieces. These are typically not framed, have lower sale prices, and are often prints (although you can bring original work). Instead of being hung they are stacked together for people to browse through in a dedicated portfolio box.
● Label every piece on the back with:
○ Your Name
○ The Title of the Work
○ The Material(s) you used
○ Your chosen Sale Price
● Ensure your piece is ready to hang or display, with hooks and string securely attached.
● Please be aware that the maximum size we allow is approximately A2 sized due to our limited space.
● You can submit items for exhibition that are ‘not for sale’ but priority will be given to items that are for sale.
|
| Craft
● You can exhibit up to 20 unique pieces of craft. (Duplicates of the same item aren’t included, but different colours or sizes of the same design do count as separate.)
● Wherever possible, label each item clearly — for example: A sticker or tag on the base of a ceramic bowl or a label attached to a knitted or sewn item.
● Each label should include
○ Your Name
○ What your item is
○ The Material(s) you used
○ Your chosen Sale Price
● If your item is large or unusual (e.g. it won’t fit on a standard table), please contact us beforehand. Due to our limited space, we reserve the right to decline items that cannot be safely displayed.
If you’re unsure how to price your work, feel free to contact us — we’re happy to offer guidance based on past sales.
|
| 2. Submit Your Entry
● Create an account here
● Add a artist bio to be included in the Exhibition Catalogue
● Register your exhibits before the closing date: 1st August 2025
● We charge a small entry fee which when you register your items online is automatically calculated based on the number and size of items you enter.
● Enter your bank details so that if any of your work sells we can pay you!
● Once registered, click ‘Print’ to download your submissions. It’s very helpful if you bring this with you (on paper or on your phone) when delivering your work.
|
| 3. Deliver Your Artwork
● Bring your exhibits to Dunsford Church EX6 7AA on: Wednesday, 20th August 2025, between 2:30pm – 8:00pm.
● Check in with the desk so we can sign your items in.
● Pay your entry fee (we accept cash and card)
|
| 4. We Handle the Display & Sales
● Your work will be beautifully displayed by our volunteer team for the duration of the exhibition. You are welcome to visit and look around yourself, it’s free entry!
● Even if your work doesn’t sell, it’s a great experience to get your work shown and get yourself known as an artist!
● For any work that is sold. We take a 15% commission and you get the rest! Payment will be made by BACS, this is normally within a week but we always say to allow us 1 month from the exhibition’s close because it’s all run by volunteers.
|
| 5. Collect Unsold Work
● Come to the Church on Monday, 25th August 2025, between 5:30pm – 7:00pm to collect any unsold items.
● Please check in at the sales desk and a member of our Steward team will collect your work for you and then ask for your signature before you leave.
Can’t collect at that time? Just let us know and we’ll do our best to help.
|
Important Notes |
| ● Exhibitors must arrange their own insurance if required. While we take great care with all work, the Church cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage.
● Space Limitations: We reserve the right to decline items that cannot be safely displayed due to size or setup.
● Your exhibits must remain for the entire duration of the event.
● If you’re unable to collect at the specified time, please let us know in advance so we can make alternative arrangements.
● We love welcoming new artists, so don’t hesitate to ask for support!
