About the Exhibition
The Dunsford Art & Craft Exhibition & Sale is a cherished community event held every other year over the August Bank Holiday Weekend in the heart of our picturesque village, within the beautiful setting of Dunsford Church.

Run by a dedicated team of volunteers, the exhibition celebrates the incredible creativity of both local and regional artists - bringing together a diverse mix of paintings, photography, textiles, woodwork, ceramics, needlecraft, and more.

Whether you're a seasoned exhibitor or picking up a paintbrush for the first time, our doors are open to all forms of artistic expression. We aim to create a welcoming, inspiring space where visitors can enjoy, purchase, and connect with original work.

We also have a produce stall and sell and range of refreshments over the weekend so visitors have lots to enjoy.

All proceeds help support the ongoing work of the Dunsford St Mary's PCC

Our History

The Dunsford Art & Craft Exhibition & Sale began in August 2003, born from a desire to raise funds for St Mary's Church while bringing something vibrant and creative to the heart of the village.

Inspired by the success of a similar event in nearby Thorverton, and with generous guidance from their team, the first exhibition came together with modest means and a lot of community spirit. Display boards were borrowed from Teignbridge Council and Cheriton Bishop (who had just retired their own art show), and a handful of willing artists filled the church with just over 100 paintings and an array of handmade crafts.

One of the unexpected highlights of that first weekend was a group of holidaymakers who purchased over £600 worth of art - an encouraging start that gave the show its first boost. Refreshments and light lunches added to the welcoming atmosphere and helped raise further funds.

Since then, the exhibition has grown into a much-anticipated biennial event, attracting artists and visitors from near and far. We've added a popular produce stall, welcomed guests of all ages, and continued to celebrate the talent within our community.

We are incredibly proud of how far the exhibition has come and hope to keep it going for many more years to come.
